Answers about your receipts, reminders, and Warranty Wallet Pro.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add a product?
Tap + in the app. Enter the product name, purchase date, and warranty period. Add a photo and receipt if you like, then tap “Save”. You can open and edit the product later.
How does Restore Purchases work?
Open Settings in Warranty Wallet and choose “Restore purchases”. Use the same Apple Account as for your original Pro purchase and connect to the internet. This restores your Pro access, not deleted products or receipts.
Why can’t I add another product?
The free version stores up to five products. The optional one-time Pro purchase unlocks unlimited products. If Pro becomes inactive later, you can still read, edit, and delete existing products.
How do I enable notifications?
Turn on “Warranty reminders” in the app’s settings and allow notifications in iOS. Choose a reminder 7, 30, or 90 days before expiry. The app schedules local reminders at 09:00 for the next 60 eligible warranties. iOS may delay delivery. Open the app regularly so later reminders can be scheduled.
Why didn’t I receive a reminder?
Check that warranty reminders are enabled in the app and notifications for Warranty Wallet are allowed in iPhone Settings. Also check the purchase date, warranty period, and reminder lead time. Reopen the app to update the schedule. Reminders whose scheduled time has already passed are not delivered retroactively. iOS controls actual delivery.
Where is my data stored? Is there any sync?
Products, photos, and receipts are stored locally in the app’s protected storage on your iPhone. There is no Warranty Wallet account, developer-operated cloud sync, or separate backup feature. Depending on your settings, iPhone or computer backups may include app data. Keep your original receipts; the developer cannot access or recover your records.
How do I delete a product?
Open the product, choose “Delete product”, and confirm. The stored record, including its photo and receipt, is removed from the app, and reminders are updated. Originals in Photos or Files and existing device backups are unaffected. Restore Purchases cannot recover deleted records.
Why can’t I import a receipt?
Each product can have one receipt attached as a valid, unencrypted PDF or an image up to 20 MB. Check the file format and size. For files from a cloud provider, the file must be available through the system file picker. Then try importing it again.
What if Pro is unavailable or a purchase is pending?
Check your internet connection and try again later. A pending purchase unlocks Pro only after Apple confirms it. If you already purchased Pro, use Restore Purchases with the original Apple Account.
What should I do about storage or startup problems?
Check the available storage on your device and reopen the app. Do not delete the app as your first troubleshooting step: removing the app and its data can cause local records to be lost. If the problem persists, tell support what the message says and what you did before it appeared.
