Provider and contact

Warranty Wallet is provided by Patrick Mickmann. Privacy and support contact: warrantywallet.support@protonmail.com. Support page: Support. Public policy: Privacy.

Information processed by the app

You may enter a product name, category, purchase date, optional price and currency, retailer, warranty period, serial number, notes, a product photo and a receipt/document attachment. The app calculates the warranty end date and status. These records are stored locally using SwiftData in the app's protected storage on your iPhone; SwiftData manages larger attachments as local external data. Your optional reminder preferences are also stored locally.

There are no accounts, developer-operated servers, advertisements, tracking or analytics. The app does not send your product or document content to the developer or to external content-processing APIs. The developer cannot access or recover your locally stored products.

Selected photos and documents

Apple's system pickers provide the individual items you select. The app saves a local copy and reduces product photo dimensions to limit storage use. Choosing a cloud file provider or an iCloud photo may cause that system service to download the selected content. Warranty Wallet does not operate cloud synchronization.

Opening a receipt creates a protected local temporary preview. It is removed after use, and leftover previews are cleaned at the next launch. If you use sharing offered by the system preview, you choose the destination and its privacy terms apply. Deleting a copy in Warranty Wallet does not delete the original photo, file or cloud-provider item.

Reminders and purchases

Local notifications are scheduled only after you enable reminders and grant permission. Local product identifiers and dates are used by the notification system. Visible notification text does not contain product names, prices or receipt content. There is no push server. You can disable reminders in the app or iPhone settings.

Apple processes the optional one-time Pro purchase and restores through StoreKit. The app checks Apple-verified entitlements to unlock unlimited products. It does not obtain payment details or Apple Account credentials, and it does not send your product records to Apple for purchase verification. Apple processes purchase information under its own terms and may provide ordinary sales/accounting information to the developer. There is no developer-operated purchase server.

Retention, deletion and backups

Records remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app and its data. Deleting a product removes its stored record and attachments from the app's data set and updates reminders; secure forensic erasure of flash storage is not promised. Offloading an app is different from deleting its data.

There is no built-in cloud sync or separate backup service. Device/computer backups may include app data depending on your settings. You control existing backups through Apple or your computer; deleting an item does not retroactively alter them. Keep original receipts. Restore Purchases restores Pro access, not deleted records.

Voluntary support messages and this website

If you email support, the provider and email service process your address and message to answer you. Avoid sending receipts or sensitive information unnecessarily. Correspondence is retained only as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable retention obligations. Contact support to request access, correction or deletion of support correspondence. You manage local app records yourself; we cannot access them.

If hosted on GitHub Pages, visiting this policy involves technical connection information handled under the GitHub Privacy Statement. The static support page needs no advertising or analytics scripts. Website visits and voluntary email support are separate from the app's local data processing.
